Live training recordings.
All recordings are from live trainings ~ sessions, debriefs, and participant Q&A captured on camera. Linda and Gerard ran three EMDR Deconstructed workshops for clinicians already trained in EMDR. Participants consistently expressed gratitude for learning how to creatively use the components and modify the protocol for complex trauma and dissociation. This is a rotating selection, updated every six weeks to keep the content fresh and clinically relevant ~ use the Watch Later button to bookmark videos before they rotate out.

Linda in session with Nilde
Live EMDR session demonstrating modified processing with a complex-trauma client. Watch the clinical decision-making in real time.
Linda and Nilde ~ Session Debrief and Participant Questions
Post-session debrief: what happened, why specific interventions were chosen, and participant Q&A.
Restricted Processing
How to keep processing contained when the client's window of tolerance is narrow. Shorter sets, deliberate targets, containment at every pause.
Fear of starting EMDR
What to do when the client is terrified of beginning memory processing. Psychoeducation, resourcing, and graduated exposure to the protocol itself.
Client can't create an imaginal container
When the client draws a blank or the container feels unsafe. Alternative approaches: found objects, body-based containment, therapist-offered images.
Resourcing triumphant moments
Installing memories of competence and mastery as positive resources. The client's own evidence that they can survive and prevail.
Resourcing & Behavioral Rehearsal
Combining imaginal resource installation with behavioral rehearsal ~ building the bridge between internal felt-sense and real-world action.
Trauma network opens up while resourcing
What to do when positive resourcing accidentally activates the trauma network. Stop, contain, don't process ~ and why that's not a failure.
